Photography : the recreation of new dimensional worlds : Amine Mouelhi as an example
Photographs can be so real, the way that their trueness can be reflected in the colours, the shapes and the atmosphere they create. People can feel their spirits slithering into a new world with a new aesthetic ethereal dimension. For me, this is not the first time I scrutinise the artworks of photographers, but also this is not the first time I stand gobsmacked in front of a set of marvels, that my words cannot depict carefully. This time, it is Amine Mouelhi who made me astounded and speechless.
Amine is 27 years old. He is a senior technical audiovisual graduated from a special training centre. He started photography since 2009 when he worked in a photo lab as a graphic designer. Then, he joined a training center just to get a photography certificate and to gain a nice experience. He does not focus on a certain field of photography ; when scrolling his works we can see portraits, landscapes, streets, animals, etc … This is may be explained by the fact that our artist is looking for the beauty in every thing encountering him. Moreover, he didn’t know that he is talented only when he worked in the photo lab. He publishes his artworks basically on his Facebook and Instagram account and sometimes on other websites as 500px and youpic. He has gained a lot of support through the internet, whether from his friends or from his fans. Also, he follows a lot of famous and talented photographers on IG. He also inspires from movies, videos, music …
Photography to Amine becomes a lifestyle ; he can’t live without taking pictures with his canon 5D mark 3. It is related to the realm of imagination as well as the world of meditation, for he thinks that the universe is created artistically by God and need to be contemplated. That’s why he always go camping to cogitate and observe carefully the manifestations of such a creation.
People encourage our hero by the positive feedbacks and messages they send on facebook and instagram. His family haven’t ever asked him to stop photography, camping or hiking, though they think that he is wasting his time. But, when seeing the wonders he is capturing you assume that he didn’t waste any second of his time. His artworks are not only a record of time and place but also a creation of a new aesthetic dimension and atmosphere of this time and place.
